신홍직의 즉발적 풍경 

신흥직은 빠른 필치로 자신이 목도한 풍광과 일상 속 정물들을 캔버스에 담는다. 국내외 휴양지에서 부산하게 움직이는 사람들과 거리의 풍경들, 파도가 넘실대는 해안가의 풍경들, 높은 빌딩을 배경으로 항구에 정박해 있는 요트들, 부산을 삶의 거처로 작업 활동을 하는 그에게 낯설지 않는 풍경들이다. 선명한 원색의 물감 덩어리가 서로의 몸을 활발하게 뒤섞으면서 화면에 떠오르는 그의 회화는 인상주의적 풍경과 표현주의적 의지가 맞물려 창출된 즉발적 만남의 회화라 할 것이다.

Swift Landscapes by Sin Heungjik
Sin transfers the views and still life that he sees onto a canvas with his fast touch. Busy crowds in motion in domestic or international tourism spots and the views of the streets, the scenery of coast lines with rolling waves, and sailing boats anchored at harbor with tall buildings in the background are not unfamiliar to him as he lives and works as an artist in Busan. His paintings come out onto the surface with vivid primary colors swirling and mixing, and prompt encounter created by impressionistic landscapes interwoven with his expressionistic will.
